What kind of password protection does this add?

Standard PDF encryption — the file can't be opened in any PDF viewer (Acrobat, browser PDF viewers, Preview, etc.) without the password you set.

Can I add both a password and a watermark at once?

Yes, they're independent options — set one, the other, or both. At least one is required.

Is the watermark removable?

It's drawn directly into the page content, not a separate overlay layer, so it can't be toggled off or deleted the way a PDF annotation could.

If I forget the password, can it be recovered?

No — the password isn't stored anywhere (nothing is stored, ever), so there's no way to recover it after the fact. Keep it somewhere safe before you close the tab.
