Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use PDFFever. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it — plainly, and matching what the product actually does rather than what a generic template says it does.
Your files
When you upload a file to convert, merge, compress, secure, or edit, it's held as an in-memory buffer on our server for the duration of that single request, processed, and sent back to you. It is never written to a disk, database, or any persistent storage, and it isn't kept around afterward — there's no history or "recent files" feature because nothing is retained to populate one. If you close the tab or your connection drops before the response completes, the in-progress data is simply discarded when the request ends.
Account information
PDFFever's core tools don't require you to create an account, so we don't collect a name, email address, or password just to convert or edit a PDF. If we introduce optional accounts or paid plans in the future, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what's collected and why before that feature ships.
Cookies and analytics
We don't run analytics scripts (like Google Analytics) that build a profile of your visit. Your browser may store minimal technical data (such as session state needed for a page to function), but nothing on our end is used to track you across visits or across other sites.
Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising vendors. These vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and/or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Cloud import (Google Drive / Dropbox)
If you choose to import a file from Google Drive or Dropbox, a picker window from that provider opens and you select the file directly within it — PDFFever never sees your Google or Dropbox login credentials. The provider hands the selected file to your browser, which then uploads it to PDFFever the same way a locally-picked file would be, subject to the same in-memory, not-stored handling described above. Your use of Google Drive or Dropbox is separately governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
Server logs
Like most web services, our infrastructure may keep short-lived operational logs (such as request timestamps, response status codes, and error traces) to keep the service running and to diagnose problems. These logs are about the request, not the contents of your file, and are not used to identify you personally.
Data security
Uploads are transmitted over HTTPS. Because files are never persisted to storage, there's no stored copy of your document that could later be exposed in a data breach — the strongest protection we can offer is simply not keeping the data in the first place.
Children's privacy
PDFFever is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if we add optional accounts, paid plans, or any feature that changes what data is collected — we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
